Brief biography: graduated from the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​of the Taganrog State Pedagogical Institute (1978) and completed her postgraduate studies at the Rostov State Pedagogical University (1991). Since 1980, she has been teaching at TSPI. In 1994, she defended her candidate's dissertation in the specialty 13.00.01 General Pedagogy, History of Pedagogy and Education ("Preparing Students for the Moral Education of Schoolchildren"). In 2006, she defended her doctoral dissertation in the specialty 13.00.08 Theory and Methodology of Professional Education ("The Formation of Social Work and Professional Education of Social Workers in the USA: Historical and Pedagogical Aspect"). From 2007 to 2014, she served as Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages. She has received research grants from the Russian Foundation for the Humanities (RHF) and the Russian Science Foundation, as well as grants from the Kennan Institute (USA), Fulbright (USA), Central European University (Hungary), DAAD (Germany), and others. She has published over 100 research papers on various topics in the theory and history of education, social work, and social pedagogy. The most significant publications: Monographs: “Education of social workers in the USA: history and main development trends (1890-1929)”; “Modern social work in the USA”, etc. Textbooks: “Social work abroad: USA”, “Social work abroad: Great Britain”; series of articles in journals.
