Short biography. Tatyana B. Tagarova graduated from Irkutsk State University with a degree in Russian Language and Literature, earning the qualification of “Philologist. Teacher of Russian Language and Literature.” She has been working at Irkutsk State University since 1987. In 1999, she defended her candidate dissertation (PhD thesis) on the topic “Linguistic and Pragmatic Characteristics of Buryat Phraseological Units (Newspaper and Journalistic Style)” (specialty code 10.02.16 – Mongolian Languages) in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia. In 2013, she defended her Doctor of Sciences dissertation on the topic “Phraseology of the Buryat Language: A Functional and Stylistic Aspect” (specialty code 10.02.22 – Languages of the Peoples of Foreign Countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Indigenous Peoples of America and Australia (Mongolian Languages)) in Elista, Republic of Kalmykia. She is the author of more than 200 educational and scientific publications.
