Brief biography. Graduated with honors from the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia in 1978, specialty French and German language teacher; defended candidate (1986) and doctoral (1994) dissertations in the specialty 10.02.05 - Romance languages; since 1984 she has been working at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia. Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation.
Author of more than 130 publications, including: 12 textbooks (Skrelina L.M., Stanovaïa L.A. History of the French language. 1st ed. Moscow: Higher School, 2001; 2nd ed. ispr. and add. M.: Higher School, 2005; 3rd, ispr. and add. M.: Publishing house Yurayt, 2013-2025. – 10 reprints; Skrelina L.M., Stanovaïa L.A. Theoretical grammar of the French language. Leningrad: Herzen State Pedagogical University of Leningrad, 1989; and others); numerous articles in national and foreign scientific journals and collections.
She was head of the educational (Tempus) and research (RGNF, RFBR) projects; chairman of the Dissertation Council at the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia; lectured as a visiting professor in Russian and European universities; gave presentations at various international scientific conferences and congresses. Member of the Organizing Committee of the international scientific L.M. Skrelina School-seminar «Man and his Language». Member of the International Society of Romance Linguistics (Société de Linguistique Romane).
