Brief biography. He graduated from the Orenburg Polytechnic Institute with the specialization in Automobiles and Automotive Engineering. He has been working at the Orenburg State University since 1990, first as a research intern, then as an engineer, teaching assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the Department of Automotive Engineering, and dean of the Faculty of Transportation (from 2013 to the present). He defended his PhD thesis in 1996 and his doctoral thesis in 2010, both in the field of Automotive Engineering. He was an expert of the State Standard of the Russian Federation for the certification of services for the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (1997–2008). He is a member of the Expert Council on Transport of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (from 2018 to the present). He completed foreign internships at the Universities of Paderborn and Bonn (Germany, 1994), and the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden, 2012). He is the author and co-author of more than 370 educational and scientific publications, including 101 articles in journals from the VAK recommended list, 85 Russian Federation patents for inventions and utility models, 15 certificates for computer programs, 8 monographs, and 13 textbooks.
