Research areas: engineering solutions in applied ecology; resource-saving and environmentally friendly technologies for aviation equipment operation systems and their hardware implementation; human factors in the complex air transport safety management system.
Brief biography. Graduated from the Moscow Institute of Chemical Engineering (MICE) in 1972 with a degree in "Machines and Equipment for Chemical Production." Defended his candidate's dissertation in 1975 on the topic"Development and study of gas flow splitting trays for large units and systems for sanitary exhaust gas purification" 05.04. 2009 – Machines and Aggregates of Chemical Production.
From 1976 to 1986, worked as chief designer of R&D for the development of physicochemical (epitaxial) equipment and the creation of atmosphere protection systems from harmful emissions in electronics production.
In 1982 and 1989, awarded silver medals at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements (VDNH), Honory Diploma of the "NTTM Socialist countries" exhibition (Brno, Czechoslovakia, 1982), in 1985 – diploma of the World Exhibition of Achievements of Young Inventors "Bulgaria – 85" (Plovdiv, Bulgaria).
From 1986 to 1987, headed the sector "Environmental Protection and Analytical Control" at the "Stekloplastik" Scientific Production Association of the USSR Ministry of Chemical Industry.
Since 1988 to the present, has been working at the Moscow Institute of Civil Aviation Engineers (MIIGA) – Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation (MSTU GA).
Defended his doctoral dissertation in 2009 on the topic "Scientific Foundations of Control and Regulation Organization in the Environmental Safety System of Civil Aviation" in specialty 05.02.22 - Production Organization (Transport).
Hold titles of "Merited Worker of Air Transport" (2001), "Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation" (2010).
Elected in 2003 as a full member (academician) of the International Academy of Ecology and Life Safety Sciences (IAESS).
Is the author and co-author of 350 scientific works, including 22 inventions and 9 foreign patents (UK, France, Germany, East Germany, and Japan), as well as 15 textbooks and teaching aids, including the textbook "Ecology," which:
- is certified as "Recommended by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation as a textbook for students of higher education institutions studying in the field of 550,000 Engineering Sciences and in specialties in the field of 650,000 Engineering and Technology." It was included in the list of "Main Literature"
-recommended by the Model Curriculum for the Ecology Discipline of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation for the Technical Sciences major (Moscow, 2000);
- from 2000 to 2018, had 9 editions with a total circulation of approximately 30,000 copies;
- is a laureate of the All-Russian Competition of Educational Publications for Universities in the nomination "Best Educational Publication in the Natural Sciences" (2008).
The main topics of its scientific works are ecological and industrial safety in various sectors of the country's economy: in the chemical industry, in the electronics industry, and civil aviation.
