Brief biography. Evgeny M. Lunev graduated with honors from Moscow Aviation Institute (State Technical University) as an Engineer with a degree in “Aircraft Instruments and Measuring-Computing Complexes”. In 2005–2011, he pursued postgraduate studies at MAI, and in 2011 defended his Candidate dissertation (PhD) in “System analysis, management and information processing” on the topic “Software and algorithmic support for the instrument complex of an unmanned aerial vehicle for determining navigation parameters based on photo images”. He began his career in 2005 as a software test engineer at DS BARS (code verification according to FAA RTCA DO-178B). From 2006 to 2008, he worked at RTSOFT CJSC as a product manager and technical support engineer. From 2008 to 2012, he was a leading engineer of Avionics Software Department at Transas Aviation CJSC (developing certification documentation). In 2012–2014, he served as Lead Specialist of Avionics Department at Sukhoi Civil Aircraft JSC (implementing FMS and ACARS for SSJ-100). From 2014 to 2023, he was Head of Aircraft Navigation Systems Department at Yakovlev PJC (developing and integrating FMS, EFB, ACARS for MC-21 and RRJ-95NEW-100 projects). In 2023–2026, he acted as Deputy Director of the Research Center for Civil Aviation Equipment at GosNII GA (strategic management of certification work, ground and flight tests, R&D). Since January 2026, he has been Deputy General Director for Certification at Navigator LLC (managing certification and qualification of in-house developed aviation products and modifications of imported equipment). He is the author/co-author of several scientific and technical publications, and has extensive teaching experience at Moscow Aviation Institute as an Associate Professor.
