A brief biography. In 1977 Valery M. Kurganov graduated from Khabarovsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in “Automobiles and Automotive Industry”. In 1986 he received the academic degree “Candidate of Technical Sciences” in Operation of Motor Transport. In 2005 he received the academic degree “Doctor of Technical Sciences” in Transportation Process Management. Member of three dissertation councils. Full member of the Russian Academy of Transport. Member of the Commission (Expert) of the Public Council of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.
