Brief biography. Wang Lanjju graduated from Hebei Normal University with a degree in Philology (Chinese language major). He has worked as a lecturer at universities in Russia (Irkutsk State Linguistic University, Irkutsk State University, and others) and in China (Xingtai Institute, Hebei Normal University, Hebei University). He collaborates with Russian universities and participates in joint research and educational projects. He has extensive experience working as a translator in various fields. In 2013, he defended his Candidate dissertation in Philology on the topic “The System of Images in L.N. Tolstoy’s Novel ‘War and Peace’ in the Light of Chinese Philosophy.” He is the author of the textbooks “Chinese Language. Writing Guide (Cursive Script and Seal Script) ” (co-authored with O.M. Gotlib), “The Socio-Political System of the PRC” (co-authored with E.V. Kremnyov), “Chinese Language. Beginner Level” (co-authored with T.A. Kremnyova), the monograph “Transcultural Philosophical Parallels: The System of Images in L.N. Tolstoy’s Novel ‘War and Peace’ in the Light of the Ideas of Confucius and Laozi”, and served as scientific consultant for T.E. Shishmareva’s book “The Chinese Dictionary ‘Erya’ in Ideographic and Ethnocultural Aspects”.
