Brief biography. In 2002, he graduated with honors from Tomsk State Pedagogical University with a degree in "Teacher of German and English." In 2008, he defended his PhD dissertation in Germanic languages; in 2011, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor; and in 2023, he received the degree of Doctor of Philology in "Theoretical, Applied and Comparative Linguistics." From 2002 to 2016, he worked at Tomsk Polytechnic University, progressing from lecturer to head of the Department of Foreign Languages. Since 2017, he has been working at Tomsk State University, initially as an Associate Professor and, since 2023, as a Professor at the Department of English Philology. He is the author of over 70 publications, including 5 monographs. He has repeatedly won grants from the President of the Russian Federation, the Russian Foundation for the Humanities (RGHF), the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Goethe-Institut, as well as international organizations for the preservation of the language and culture of Russian Germans. He has led field research on endangered languages of Russia and served as an organizer of international conferences, olympiads, and competitions for students and schoolchildren. For his work, he has received letters of appreciation and certificates of honor from the rectors of Tomsk Polytechnic University and Tomsk State University, the education authorities of Tomsk Oblast, international organizations, and the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Russian Federation.
