Short biography. In 1985, Igor E. Agureev graduated from Tula State Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Aircraft Manufacturing. In 1988, he defended his PhD thesis on “Flat Problems of the Theory of Chemoplasticity” (specialty code 01.02.04 – Mechanics of a Deformable Solid Body). In 2004, he defended his doctoral dissertation on “Analysis and Synthesis of the Dynamic Characteristics of Multi-Cylinder Piston Internal Combustion Engines” (specialty code 05.04.02 – Thermal Engines). From 2004 to 2023, he worked as a professor and head of the Department of Automobiles and Automotive Engineering at Tula State University. He was awarded the title of “Honored Worker of Education” and received the corresponding badge. He is a recipient of the S. I. Mosin Prize. He also holds the public award “Badge of Honor” from the Union of Scientific and Engineering Public Associations of the Tula Region. He is the author of over 150 scientific and methodological works. He is a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Tula Region, as well as the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs Directorate for the Tula Region. He is a member of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association in the Higher Education System for the enlarged group of specialties and areas of study “Land Transport Engineering and Technologies.”
