Abstract
This article is devoted to the improvement of public urban transport. The paper presents a methodology for selecting the best locations for public passenger transport stops using the AnyLogistix and Vissim software tools.
The topic of the work is relevant, as it aims to improve the infrastructure of urban passenger transport, reduce traffic congestion, and use software for big data calculations in the field of public transport. The relevance of the study is due to the rapid growth of cities and the need to optimize transportation systems for the comfort and efficiency of population movement. The emergence of areas with high population density leads to traffic congestion, which exacerbates the need for the development of public transport and improving its efficiency. The methodology was tested on the example of the Duderhofskaya Line 3 residential complex (Saint Petersburg), which significantly reduced the time passengers spent walking to bus stops, reduced traffic congestion, and improved transport accessibility.
