Jacques Rivette’s out 1. Discourse analysis of a film

Abstract
The present case study offers a brief review of the history and methods in discourse analysis of films, makes an assumption about the film Out 1: Noli me tangere (1971) by the French director and critic Jacques Rivette being a unique example of a “linguistic” film; makes an attempt to analyze the film with the help of existing theoretical models.
