Brief biography

Graduated from Irkutsk State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages named after Ho Chi Minh with a degree in English and German. From 1987 to 2016, worked at Irkutsk State Linguistic University. Since 2016 has been working at the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguodidactics at the Pedagogical Institute of the ISU. In April 1997, defended the PhD thesis "Index constructions with phrasal verbs of speech in modern English". In October 2007 She defended her doctoral thesis "Conceptualization and reconceptualization of spatial relations (based on the material of English phrasal verbs)" and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philology. In 2021, was awarded the academic title of professor in the specialty 5.9.6 "Languages of peoples of foreign countries". Bogdanova S.Yu. is the author and co-author of more than 170 scientific and educational publications, including the textbook "Corpus Linguistics" (co-authored with V.P. Zakharov), the monograph "Spatial Conceptualization of the world in the mirror of English Phrasal Verbs’, etc.
